Discover new music
|
I'm an unsigned independent musical artist trying to boost my career in the music industry which is almost impossible, but I love writing and producing my own songs. If you like your music and want to help a fellow Hammer out during these tough times, please head over to my Spotify account and give me a follow, this helps me enormously with getting my songs onto editorial playlists like my last single did!

Cheers!

“12 inchers by the gazillion”
What sort of music? What label? How many is a gazillion?
Where can I hear some?

All of those things. I originally sold 12”s by the gazillion and got DJs to play them and then built databases of fans but you’d do it differently now. It’s not exactly rocket science.

Still being very vague. On stage? On the internet? Record company? What sort of music?
Come on. Why be so secretive?

You’re still being vague. Did you make money out of music? If so, how?

Well. In my experience those who make a living , or more, from music have decided that the money bit is important to them. Important enough to work out how the money bit happens and what you can do to capitalise from it. No different from any business of course.

I’ve followed you as a fellow Hammer and wish you all the best fortune to go with it, it’s going to be tough as there’s many like you out there doing this style.
The final track is decent, but I’m personally not a lover of over-produced sound. It didn’t help listening to Neil Young’s ‘Southern Man’ minutes before I read this post !!

No one forces anyone to be a musician or to make a living from music. You make money from music by understanding how to do it.

Agreed.
What you need is 100,000 fans. Now the question is how are you going to find them?
